Brief Description:
Technical specialist for the development of powertrain systems with a focus on software area for various powertrain concepts and functions. The position holder needs to have experience in powertrain software testing and release. This position consists flexible tasks due to quick development time in an agile engineering environment with complex requirements after incorporation / on job training.
Key Tasks:
Coordination, management and documentation of relevant release activities with involved stakeholders taking into account for SW release timelines and applicable regulations and processes.
Initiating, evaluating, documenting and presenting results in the project team and cross-department meetings.
Evaluating and coordinating defined solutions, including coordination with the parties involved and leading neccessary meetings.
Cooperate with different stakeholders to ensure data sharing between all involved R&D entities and departments.
Participate relevant technical and project meetings.
Collaboration in creation and validation of specific test procedures and guidelines, standards and regulatory requirements.
Developing, proposing and coordinating the resulting possible requirements and solutions (e.g. calibration content, functional requirements/specification, release recommendations, documentation – all according to process requirements), including implementing and coordinating the defined solutions and following up on their implementation.
Networking and collaboration with other departments and suppliers; General project management tasks regarding given role descriptions.
Assessment of the SW maturity level in relation to the given project schedule; Standardization of software variants and calibration strategies of comparable control unit concepts.
Procurement of the information and literature required for the field of work, gathering of work specific requirements (market, costs, strategy, regulatory, technical, customer, quality … ) to support the ongoing work and to stimulate further developments, as well as patent protection of the work results.
Performing individual task-related duties in accordance with the knowledge and experience of the position holder.
Advising other people holding positions at VCIC, its subsidiaries/associate companies, or cooperating organizations upon request and in consultation with the appropriate people responsible.
