Key Tasks: • Responsible for inhouse ECU, PCB design and development • Competence center and senior expert for all ADAS components (domain ECU, sensor), and reliability development related topics • Responsible for ADAS component related requirement specification Bauteil-Lastenheft, incl. reliability/robustness, EMC, etc. • Responsible for establishing test plans (DV, PV) and protocols to validate ADAS components designs against requirements and VW standard (VW80808, VW80000, TL81000, etc.) • Responsible for managing suppliers and driving the DV/PV testing of ADAS components according to test plans • Responsible for reviewing suppliers’ reliability design and testing competences and resources (test labs), and requesting for modification if needed to comply to VW standard • Responsible for leading corresponding activities to analyze test results, troubleshoot test failures and issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop solution to resolve design problems • Responsible for supporting suppliers in troubleshooting and resolving ADAS component design, manufacturing, production related issues that arise during the whole development lifecycle. • Responsible for conducting design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure optimal ADAS solution • Responsible for leading/supporting DFMEA/PFMEA of ADAS components, and ensuring lessons learned and best practices are included • Responsible for providing technical consulting to hardware engineers and suppliers, offering guidance in hardware design best practices and troubleshooting. • Responsible for coordinating of a cross-functional project team for HW reliability and EMC related concept development, organization project meetings, tracking of milestones, reporting project status, etc. • Responsible for providing ADAS component reliability release recommendation to the responsible BTV. • Internal know-how build-up and transfer to all project members. Qualification &skills: • Education: This position requires a Master/ Bachelor degree in automotive, electrical, computer engineering or respective field. • Work Experience: at least 5 years ADAS ECU or sensor development, reliability design, and testing experience. Experience in vehicle development in automotive industry or related field, and proven ability of successfully launching ADAS ECU build-to-print hardware into production is required. • Special Skills: ▪Hands-on experience in SoC, PCBA or ECU development ▪Hands-on experience in imager sensor application, incl. ISP, SerDes, etc. usage ▪Hands-on experience in radar/lidar/USS application ▪Hands-on experience in ADAS ECU and sensor reliability design, validation, troubleshooting and problem solving ▪Good experience in HW periphery concept incl. ADSP, etc. ▪Good experience in design ADAS ECU and sensors, such as SoCs, MCUs, PCIe, DDR, UFS, eMMC, PMIC, SerDes, GMSL-2, FPDL, Ethernet switches, PHY, CAN ▪Good experience in circuit design, schematic creation, PCB layout, signal integrity, power integrity, and power management ▪Good experience in HW requirements regarding robustness, EMC, etc. ▪Good experience in HW reliability design and testing ▪Good experience in design and analysis tools like: Allegro, Mentor Graphics, Ansys, Simplis, Altair, Mathcad, PSpice&Saber ▪Good understanding of hardware design and failure mode ▪Good knowledge of requirement engineering process ▪At least basic understanding of FuSa and SOTIF •Excellent business English skills (written and spoken), German and Chinese language skills are beneficial.
