Tasks：

-Plan, steer and execute wiring harness component development according to vehicle project milestones in cooperation with the supplier and internal departments.

-The tasks are to be carried out taking into account standards and regulations under consideration of economic efficiency and mountability.

The processes and system provided for this purpose must be used for the development.

-Concept development for new wire harness components and creation of a requirement specification (LAH). 

Prepares enquiry documents for the commissioning of concept and/or series suppliers

Request part numbers for new parts, documents, etc. Distribution and transfer of the required (DMU) data to relevant interfaces.

-Evaluates supplier concepts and establishes a substantiated TE rating in cooperation with other departments involved

Requests and actively participates in TE audits as needed. 

Development of new strategic suppliers with associated supplier qualification.

-Review each new release of wiring harness components with regard to changes for the respective vehicle projects together with the concept / development supplier.  Ensuring that the drawings are created on time by the supplier and released in the Volkswagen systems.

-Evaluate, coordinate and implement project-specific changes with regard to the technical effects and feasibility on the component and wiring system level.

Preparation of necessary change requests for the modifications of wiring harness components

Create change requests in AVON, create meaningful documents. Coordinate this with all departments involved and ensure that the change is approved.

-Track project execution at the supplier, determine and communicate deviations from plans, lead OPL and provide required information

Checking compliance with the specifications and releasing the documents/data/documentation to be created by the supplier in accordance with BT-LAH 

Organize and ensure regular communication with suppliers and project members .

-Creates a test plan, coordinates it with the supplier and monitors the test progress

Reviews the test results and evaluates them. Coordinates with the wiring harness test managers for the use of the components in the test vehicles such as EWP, EVP, Hydropulser. Evaluation of the components at the end of the vehicle test run (Schichtende).

Qualification and skills:

-• Engineering Bachelor/Master degree in Automotive or Electrical Engineering or similar mandatory.

-• 3+ years of relevant work experience in a comparable position desired

• Any work experience in Volkswagen will be a plus

• Familiar project management in automotive environment.

-• Familiar with development of wiring harness components in metal and plastic

• Presentation of abstract and detailed facts in a simplified and comprehensible manner

• Capability to understand and analyze wiring harness components mandatory

• Strong troubleshooting and system analytics capabilities desired

• Excellent intercultural communication and coordination skills desired

• Business language skills in English (written and oral) mandatory

• German will be a plus
