The buyer takes responsibility for sourcing and management of raw materials and goods for vehicle production. The position holder is expected to source the required components for various car projects and ensure the best material cost and timely delivery during mass production. Accomplish sourcing projects/activities according to time schedule and reach defined commercial targets.

 

Key Tasks: 

Source and nominate qualified supplier for responsible components, incl. RfQ preparation, collect quotation & ratings, define supplier strategy, negotiate with suppliers, create/present decision proposal in the respective decision committee
Define and implement sourcing & supplier strategy of responsible material group / parts
Scouting, develop and qualify suppliers to build up and improve supplier system, conduct continues supplier (relationship) management
Prepare, implement and update contractual documents, such as eNA, eNA ext, CDS, GTC
Coordinate and solve supplier’s delivery/goods quality/capacity problem to ensure series production
Spare parts negotiation for production components
Evaluate and negotiate change requests in project phase and after SOP
Part readiness for Non-Heavy item parts
Conduct cost analysis, global sourcing and benchmark for continues cost optimization
Interface with the other related departments to ensure the goals of the company, such as Purchasing, R&D, Quality, Finance, Logistic, Production & Marketing
 

Qualification and skills required for the position: 

Bachelor’s degree or above (major in automotive engineering, business / project management, economics preferred)
Working experience as a buyer in automobile OEMs is preferred
Basic knowledge of automobile components and applications
Proficient MS Office skills and presentation skills
Good negotiation, organization and interpersonal communication/presentation skills
Problem solving skills
Good logical thinking and executive force
Responsibility and reliability 
Willing to travel
Fluent English
