Brief description:

The package top-hat is responsible for the conception vehicle ergonomics and dimension of upper-body i.e. top-hat in project’s concept phase, trouble-shooting and ensuring the above targets through software simulation and hardware evaluation, evaluation on design CAS or model and producing the master sections and deliverables to Design and construction teams. The core competencies include proficient in top-hat construction, requirements from construction teams and solution to solve the design and construction conflicts, deep understanding in ergonomics, dimension by using CATIA.

 

Key tasks:

1.Responsible for checking the design feasibility and making proposal for a solution for upper body (top-hat).

2.Organizing the concept rounds for collaborating teams.

3.Generating the master sections with construction inputs.

4. Competitor analysis of car-models in the Chinese Market in terms of comfort dimensions or storage concepts and scouting the innovative features from competitors.

5.Responsible for build-up seating buck and organizing subjective evaluation.

 

Qualification and skills:

1.Master in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or similar knowledge.

2.Well-founded technical understanding in all relevant interior or exterior parts/systems.

3.Minimum 3 years of working experience in automotive industry R&D.

4.Deep understanding of automotive processes and procedures, familiar with Volkswagen Group

organization, systems and processes.

5.Knowledge of vehicle packaging and ergonomics standard.

6.Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English.
